Based and managed in Laglio, it was founded in 2016, enjoying also the support of large luxury hotels on the first branch of Lake Como. There are the classic Riva motorboats from the Riva boatyard in Sarnico and limousine boats built in the Ernesto Riva boatyard in Laglio.
The craft from Como Classic Boats are modern vessels, but with those unmistakeable aesthetic lines. Several craft have been developed over the years, including a fully electric boat, the only one plying the waters of Lake Como, in service for large hotels. The boat builders that made it, the Ernesto Riva shipyard, and hotels such as Filario, Sereno and Villa d'Este, have been at the forefront in supporting the electric project. These have installed recharging stations on their docks to allow the boat to recharge its batteries while guests are having lunch or aperitifs in the hotel.
As well as the taxi services, boat tours are organised as experiential trips with passengers guided around the lake and told all about the villas overlooking it. The staff is young, all speak English and the captain also entertains the guests on board. In 2022, the fleet will consist of 10 classic and modern motorboats, and all are rigorously made of wood.
