Mixology

Fresco Cocktail Shop

The name of the place reflects the mission behind his mixology. The ingredients used are always fresh, with most of the raw materials zero-kilometre and self-produced; they are frequently renewed and so even the most loyal customer can always find something new to try every time.

Andrea's desire, after decades of experience in bartending, is to convey the joy of "drinking well", as a source of inner wealth and a rediscovery of the passion that drives him. This is not just another cocktail bar, but an experience to be sipped by the glass, it is the story of Andrea’s values and sources of inspiration, transforming the role of bartender into something approaching alchemy and magic, capable of re-educating customers in the beauty and value of attention to detail and the application of passion and dedication to the metier.

The latest successful experiment to issue from Andrea’s ever-active mind has been his camomile special. His friend's great-great-grandfather used to collect aromatic herbs on Monte Rosa in the mid-19th century to process them in his pharmacy and then sell on his “bitter cordial”, an herbal elixir composed of camomile, yarrow and a dozen spices. Recycling the recipe from the old pharmacist, he wanted to remake this bitter just for the sake of it, with no sales plan or marketing. The result is actually very good, so his camomile is going down very well, available and can to be tasted at the bar, where the guest can also listen to all the stories that Andrea recounts to his guests.
