Where to Sleep

Grand Hotel Victoria

A journey is a real experience in life that leaves its mark on the person who makes it. The Rocchi family, originally from Como, feels this profoundly and has been managing a chain of luxury hotels in Lombardy and Liguria for three generations.

“To immerse in the local area where the hotel stands and to let our guests truly experience it, that is the core of our philosophy. To make our guests find pleasure in their stay and bring back home precious memories". Ludovica Rocchi, Brand Director.

The family business started life on the shores of Lake Como itself, where their first hotel is still located. Since their first opening, the wholly Italian vision has remained unchanged over time, that is to say to offer a unique model that is linked to the particular location, its history and its traditions. It is an experience redesigned each time with the direct involvement of guests, drawing on the input of their suggestions and advice in order to develop a customised service, where only the very high levels of attention to the customer remain constant.

In Menaggio, the Grand Hotel Victoria Concept is a building with timeless charm, recently renovated and expanded in an interpretation that assures the harmonious meeting of history and tradition with comfort and modernity. In an Art Nouveau style of irresistible charm it hosts contemporary furnishings. There remains the majesty of the materials of the past, with the high ceilings, the stained-glass windows and the stucco work, all in perfect harmony with spaces that have been redesigned to meet the needs of a modern public in constant search of fresh new ideas. The Italian-designed furnishings, the pieces made by local craftsmen, and the cushions and fabrics designed and sewn to measure by local textile companies, make every room unique, right down to the smallest detail.

In this original past-and-present setting, local taste and interpretations of an international flavour come together to create an extraordinarily elegant ambience, juxtaposing romantic and natural landscapes and a new idea of hospitality.
