The park of Villa Melzi d'Eril, laid out by the architect Luigi Canonica and the botanist Luigi Villoresi, consists of terraces and hillocks dotted with apparently wild trees and exotic plants, embellished with a series of sculptures and an ornamental Japanese lily pond. In April and May there is the flowering of azaleas and rhododendrons
is quite spectacular.


A valid contribution of distinguished artists and technicians as well as the special agreement that had been established with Francesco Melzi, configure a place of rare harmony, admired among others by Stendhal who described its beauty in Rome, Naples, Florence in 1817.
