Maris Pottery

Maris Pottery was born from Sara Mariani's passion for ceramics, a love she has cultivated for over fifteen years. Fascinated from the very beginning by the texture and organic nature of clay, Sara found in the wheel the perfect expressive tool, enchanted by the way the material responds to the movements of her hands.

After years of training as a hobbyist and a parallel career in communication, just over two years ago, she decided to turn her passion into a profession. Today, in her workshop in Civiglio, she not only continues her artisanal production but also holds workshops to share the beauty and magic of ceramics with those wishing to explore this world.

The lifecycle of ceramics continues to surprise her every day: from the soft clay to the discovery of the finished piece in the second kiln, each creation is an adventure. Her inspiration has evolved over time, taking shape through pastel colors, delicate shades, and watercolor tones—elements that evoke calm and harmony. Nature is an endless source of inspiration, from the mountains and the sea to the sunsets she observes from her workshop, which inspired a recent capsule collection of ten pieces. After experimenting with different clays, today Sara mainly works with white and speckled stoneware, which gives her pieces softer and more refined tones.

For coloring, she mainly uses glazes, some self-produced, always keeping her curiosity alive to explore new techniques.
Her creations are functional yet imbued with a unique artistic identity, reflecting her sensitivity and deep connection to ceramics. She creates small collections, capsules, and one-of-a-kind pieces born from instinct and spontaneity. Each object carries the care and love that Sara pours into her work, transmitting a sense of authenticity and beauty in every detail. In the Maris Pottery workshop, every piece tells a story of passion, research, and experimentation, transforming raw material into objects filled with soul and poetry.
