Nestled in the heart of the Val d’Intelvi, overlooking Lake Como, Le Radici Agriturismois the realization of a dream rooted in a family with both Comasco and Sardinian heritage. What was once a ruin has become a haven of authenticity, where high-quality food production merges with hospitality, biodiversity, and a profound connection to nature. More than just an agriturismo, Le Radici is a life project, where every choice reflects a commitment to preserving what truly matters.
Far removed from the fast pace of industrial food systems, this alpine farm at 1,100 meters elevation follows the rhythms of nature and the cycles of the seasons. Cultivation, breeding, hunting, processing, and cooking are all carried out manually, with deep respect for the land. Here, values take precedence over trends, and quality is born from hard work, not convenience. Each product tells a story, each dish embodies an identity, and each ingredient is selected with awareness, in harmony with environmental and human health.
Le Radici also plays a vital role in conserving endangered and rare species, such as Pecore Ciute, Capre Nere di Verzasca, Cavallini della Giara, Suini Neri delle Alpi, and a group of ten llamas—central to the unique experience of Lama Trekking. These gentle, social animals guide guests through mountain trails of varying difficulty, offering a respectful and immersive way to explore the wilderness and engage with biodiversity. Visitors can even adopt a llama, donkey, or goat—helping sustain the agriturismo’s mission and forming a personal bond with the project.
In the past, food was grown for the family, and every act honored the land that sustained life. Today, food is everywhere, yet its origin and quality are often unclear. Le Radici seeks to fill that gap, offering genuine, organic, and sustainable products from a short, transparent, and intentionalsupply chain. The culinary philosophy is rooted in seasonality, local excellence, and the preservation of rural traditions. The agriturismo features five thoughtfully designed rooms, ensuring a sustainable and relaxing stay in harmony with people, animals, and the landscape. Le Radici is an invitation to slow down, listen, and rediscover the value of things made by hand—with heart and mind. A conscious return to one’s origins, where nature is not a backdrop, but a living part of the journey.
