Vineria Vitani

A few months ago, the centre of Como gained an elegant new wine shop. Located in the historic Cortesella district, Vineria Vitani is a wine shop with a bar that stands out from other establishments in Como for its very large selection of much sought-after labels and for the singular elegance of its interior. Here you can buy fine bottles or spend a pleasant evening in good company, tasting excellent quality wines accompanied by tasty snacks and cold dishes, such as beef tartare, cold meats and cheeses.

Entering Vineria Vitani means to immerse body and soul in an all-encompassing wine experience. The atmosphere is chic, yet at the same time warm and welcoming. There are few tables, but there are many bottles that almost entirely cover the walls. An outstanding feature is its beautiful wooden ceiling with exposed beams that reminds customers that they are in one of the oldest and most picturesque streets in the city, famous for its cobblestones and historic granite buildings. At Vineria Vitani nothing is left to chance, the stone walls ensuring a temperature and environment suitable for the storage of so many bottles.

The selection is personally supervised by the owners, who, through careful research, tastings and visits to renowned wineries, have built up a cellar that today has around 4,000 labels of many different vintages. These include Valtellina and Piedmont classics, as the owners call them, as well as many less conventional labels.

At the heart of the service is the relationship with the customer, who is actively involved in the tastings and samplings that lead to the discovery of some of the most original labels currently on the market. Vineria Vitani is the ideal place for anyone wishing to expand their cellar with big names in conventional oenology and rare labels from small Italian and foreign wineries, with an eye also on the natural and biodynamic wine producers.
