A place for friends to get together and have fun at any time of day. This is how the young owners Glauco Noseda, Nathan, Jacopo and Moritz Martignoni conceived of Onda, a historic venue in Cernobbio and a point of reference for the local population and for the many tourists who have come to hear of it and appreciate it throughout its long history and with its changing managements. The mission of the new owners, in the wake of their experience gained with Una Finestra Sul Lago in Carate Urio, is to reconfirm the renown the space has earned in the Lake Como area and beyond. They achieve this by offering all-round high quality at Onda, whether for dining with friends, or as a place for aperitifs or for a private event. This is not simply a bar and restaurant, but is very much a creative hub where music, food, design and people come together to create unforgettable moments.
Onda's cuisine, which is managed by executive chef Andrea Stivaletta, is rooted in the Italian tradition but with a fresh and contemporary take, losing nothing of the tastes and flavours of Italy. The menu, which is constantly updated according to the ingredients in season at the time, in keeping with the great Italian tradition, is reinvented on a daily basis with fresh offers for business lunches and with summer specials.
Among the many must-try dishes, the chef recommends the great classics of Italian cuisine, such as cotoletta alla Milanese, spaghetti alle vongole and pizza margherita. To accompany the dishes there are fine wines and newly created cocktails.
Famous for its sinuous architecture reminiscent of a wave, the venue represents the quintessence of the bubbly spirit of Como and the lake. Both in its interiors and in the spacious outdoor area, the visitor breathes a refreshing holiday air, enhanced by carefully curated vintage elements and contemporary design pieces. Starting in the spring, Onda will bring back its famous “Giovedì dell'Onda", evenings by the lake with music, fun and perfectly mixed delicious cocktails.
